Ballast Nedam Parking is Delivering Circular Parking Facilities at the Penitentiary Institution in Vught

Ballast Nedam Parking has delivered a new and temporary parking facility to the Central Government Real Estate Agency on the Lunettenlaan in Vught. The new construction of this parking facility is located next to the Penitentiary Institution (PI) Vught Inrichting and provides a parking capacity of 250 parking spaces for staff and officials of the institution. In addition to providing extra parking capacity, this also puts an end to 'wild parking' on the verges of the Lunettenlaan and a new and safe traffic situation has been created.

The parking facility is a temporary solution, and is in use until the opening of the newly to-be-realized entrance area of the Penitentiary Institution. This development will be situated on the Van Brederodelaan. The extra parking capacity on the Lunettenlaan will then no longer be required. By applying Ballast Nedam Parking's ModuPark system, the parking facility on Lunettenlaan is an easily remountable and therefore circular parking facility. In the future, it can also serve at the new location. Reuse of this garage saves 10.000 kg CO2 emissions per parking space compared to new construction.

The cooperation between the Central Government Real Estate Agency (client) and Ballast Nedam Parking (contractor) has been experienced as very positive by both parties. This resulted from a pre-arranged and joint agreement to communicate openly and transparently with each other and to respond in a timely manner to any issues within the project.
