New Photovoltaic System Installed at Rome Fiumicino Airport

Another milestone adds to our sustainable journey, with a new photovoltaic system at Rome Fiumicino Airport! The new 5.6 MWp photovoltaic system is installed on the canopies of our Long Stay Parking facility, covering approximately 1,600 parking spaces and featuring nearly 14,000 high-efficiency solar panels. By maximizing the potential of already developed surfaces, this new plant will generate enough clean electricity (more than 7 GWh per year) to meet the annual energy needs of approximately 2,600 households and avoid around 3,400 tonnes of CO₂ emissions every year.
