We are the green ‘underdog’ without a history in fossil fuels. Together we have the power to change the future. Our mission: 90,000 charging stations by the year 2030. To add charge to our brand with the goal: more users of our charging stations, we are looking for a creative and result-oriented Head of Marketing.

The role & the challenge

As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our marketing strategy. You are able to increase the brand awareness of Opcharge, strengthen our market position and bring our services to the attention of a wide audience. Within Opcharge we have a broad management team, in which each contributes to the success of Opcharge from their own expertise. Until now, we have set up Marketing in an entrepreneurial and flexible way. It is up to you to set up Marketing, together with a small team which is still developing, with vision and focus.

Responsibilities

In this entrepreneurial role, you will initially build on the foundation already laid. The Marketing team currently consists of two junior marketers, who are at the start of their careers. In addition, we are working with a freelance growth hacker. We have initial insights into what marketing initiatives are working or not, and it’s up to you to continue to develop the content and the team. Core responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for both online and offline channels.
  • Strengthen our branding and increase Opcharge’s visibility in the market.
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns (Google Ads, social media, content marketing, etc.).
  • Analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities and translate them into appropriate initiatives.
  • Optimize lead generation and conversions through digital channels.
  • Implement Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) strategies to improve the efficiency of our website and digital campaigns.
  • Coordinate outside agencies and partners for PR and content creation.
  • Monitor performance of campaigns and marketing activities and report to management.
  • Managing the marketing budget and monitoring ROI.

Skills & experience

At Opcharge, we build good relationships and find personal contact very important. This applies to contact with external stakeholders as well as internally within the team. In addition to a good culture fit, the following is important for a good fit with the challenges in this role:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing role, preferably in the technology or mobility sector.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, SEA and social media.
  • Experience with CRO and using tools to optimize conversion rates.
  • Creative thinker with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience setting up and managing Google Ads and social media campaigns.
  • Ability to work both strategically and hands-on.
  • Experience in leadership and working in a team.
  • Affinity for renewable energy and electric mobility is a plus.
