So we’re looking at week 26, it’s just at the other end of the weekend. It’s been there for a while, waiting for us. A whole six months have flown by and it seemed to us like a good time to remember the highlights of the year so far.
Here’s our take on the year that is: 2015.
Three of our Business Members have expanded their operations across the pond. Bemrose Booth, Designa and ParkCloud have all landed in the US and are leading the way for European companies making their mark stateside.
Combining forces has also been on the forefront of Parking Network Business Member manoeuvres:
- Schmit Parkeersystemen joined the Scheidt & Bachmann family;
- Amano McGann’s Atlanta sales and service office merged with ITR;
- and Q-Free added Traffiko to their already impressive portfolio
We put the champers on ice when Skidata celebrated it’s 70,000th parking system installation, and felt all warm and fuzzy when Cale shared “their story” looking back on 60 years of success and when the Scheidt & Bachmann USA subsidiary celebrated their 20th anniversary!
Then there were the moments of rebirth, both Park Assist and parking industry consultants DESMAN upped the ante by donning shiny new corporate identities.
And looking ahead to what the future will bring us, Passport proudly declared its intentions for the mobile payments sector, we read about virtual parking guides, carbon calculators and parking transaction brokers – let me get my spacesuit…
