Unity5 Announce New CEO Mark Wilson as David Herbert Takes the Plaudits

David Herbert has decided to step down from his current role as Chief Executive Officer at the end of the financial year, 31 March 2025. Mark Wilson, currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer, will assume the role of CEO, taking over the day-to-day operations.

David Herbert, who co-founded Unity5 in 2010 with Lukasz Kieruczenko, will remain actively involved in the company as Vice Chairman and Acting Chief Technology Officer (CTO). His continued presence will ensure a seamless transition while enabling him to focus on driving the company’s technological innovation. Lukasz Kieruczenko will continue as Chief Innovation Officer.

This leadership change follows a period of sustained growth for us, with remarkable expansion through over 15-year history, and a successful round of investment that was completed in 2022 with growth investor, Synova.

Our commitment to delivering industry-leading solutions has positioned the company as a key player in the technology sector.

About Mark Wilson

Mark Wilson joined Unity5 in July 2023 as Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, he has been instrumental in the delivery of high levels of customer service while supporting the company’s rapid growth and expanding customer base. With nearly 30 years of experience in the technology sector, Mark is a proven leader with a strong track record in delivering software and services across various industries.

Mark began his career as an engineer, implementing product data management systems for Siemens and working with clients nationally and internationally. His career progression within Siemens saw him promoted to Vice President for Professional Services across Europe. He later transitioned to leadership roles in SaaS and enterprise business systems, holding senior positions at multiple international technology companies.

Most recently, Mark served as Chief Operating Officer at Tribal Group, a market-leading EdTech software and SaaS company serving universities and further education organisations. Over his career, Mark has developed a passion for helping customers achieve real business benefits through the adoption of technology solutions.
