Q-Park Operations Germany GmbH & Co. KG Takes Over the I/D Cologne Car Park in Cologne-Mülheim

Q-Park Operations Germany GmbH & Co. KG, a leading company in the field of parking space management, announced the conclusion of a new management contract for the I/D Cologne car park in Cologne-Mülheim. The parking lot is part of the I/D Cologne district, which, with 11 buildings and 160,000 m² GFA, is the largest commercial district development in Cologne. The uses in the quarter are office, hotel, gastronomy, and fitness and in the future, more than 7,000 people will work in the I/D Cologne.

The multi-storey car park is also within walking distance of the Palladium and E-Werk event locations and serves tenants and visitors to the office and cultural location on Schanzenstrasse. The park object impresses with its approx. 5,000 creeping and climbing plants on the facade and is one of the largest green facades in Germany. The availability of delivery lockers, bicycle racks, charging stations and the future new parking technology for cashless and ticketless parking go hand in hand with the current idea of parking objects as mobility hubs, and are seamlessly integrated into the district development concept of the former Cologne-Mühlheim freight station.

The parking facility is an important addition to Q-Park's existing portfolio and offers customers another attractive option for parking in Cologne. The parking facility will also be equipped with the "Book and Reserve" service offered by Q-Park, so that in future customers will be able to reserve their parking space digitally in advance, and then drive in and out without contact. With the management of the property, Q-Park wants to further expand digital parking in Cologne and bring a new type of parking to the fore.

On an area of approx. 25,000 m², the parking facility has a total capacity of 896 parking spaces, which are spread over 6 levels. For visitors arriving with an electric vehicle, the multi-storey car park offers 24 charging stations so that customers can fully charge during their stay at the ID Cologne. The property is centrally located and offers customers of the new location a simple and convenient way to park their vehicles safely. There are also 64 security cameras installed in the parking lot.
