Q-Park Opens 18th Parking Garage in Rotterdam

The opening of Q-Park Rijnhaven adds an important component to the accessibility of 'the pulse of Katendrecht', and thus to the smooth mobility in the city. The new underground parking garage is located under The View and has 215 public parking spaces; ten of which will be equipped with electric charging stations in the short term. In addition, the garage also offers space for 239 parking spaces for residents of the apartments above and 45 parking spaces for hotel guests.

In, on and along the Rijnhaven, with its historic quays, industrial monuments and beautiful views, a new part of the city centre is coming. For example, The View is being built on the south side of the harbour. It consists of the luxury residential building The Bay House with 110 apartments - including the largest and most exclusive home in Rotterdam, 'The Box' - and a Eurostars hotel with 188 rooms and a rooftop restaurant.

In addition, the Porter House is being built in phase II of The View; a 135-metre-high residential tower with a Jumbo food market and ‘Galleria’ with various shops underneath. The redevelopment of the monumental Pakhuis Santos into a location for the Dutch Photo Museum is also part of the development of ‘the pulse of Katendrecht’.

When you see what is still to happen in this part of Rotterdam-Zuid, it is truly impressive. We are happy to contribute to that.”

The View was designed by Joke Vos Architects. Q-Park has entered into a long-term partnership with the owner, The View of Rotterdam BV, for the operation of the parking garage. The parking fee is 1 euro per quarter and amounts to a maximum of 25 euros per day. Parking spaces can be reserved online in advance. Q-Park is conveniently located close to the Rijnhaven metro station, making it easy to transfer to public transport and cover the last few kilometres to your final destination.
