Q-Park Oxford Street car park undergoes £2.5Million refurbishment
International car parking company Q-Park has upgraded its Oxford Street car park to the highest standards, making this a premium parking destination in central London.
The car park, located on Cavendish Square behind John Lewis on Oxford Street, was taken over by the award-winning company in 2011 and is the second car park in Westminster to undergo a full Q-Park refurbishment. The car park boasts 82 motorbike spaces and 521 car parking spaces, including 160 extra-large bays. The larger bays were introduced to the car park during the upgrade, to provide a better parking solution for vans and other large vehicles.
In addition to the new bays, the car park refurbishment has included newly painted walls and floors, a brand new glass fronted Host lodge, brighter lighting throughout the car park and pedestrian areas and clear external/ internal signage. The car park has been fully branded to Q-Park’s recognisable house style providing quality facilities for customers to use. Safety features within the car park have also been improved with the installation of CCTV cameras, secure entry vehicle gates and a pedestrian entrance which requires customers to use their parking ticket to gain access, thus reducing the risk of crime. Q-Park hopes that in this popular part of London, customers will appreciate the new look car park and feel safe when parking their cars at this secure site.

The newly fitted security systems have led to the Oxford Street car park receiving a Park Mark award, which is given by the Association of Police Officers. The prestigious safety award was presented to the car park, for demonstrating high levels of security for both customers and their vehicles.

The centrally located parking destination offers a wealth of additional facilities including a car wash service, free charging points for electric vehicles as well as standard Q-Park services such as a shoe-shine machine and free umbrella hire.
The car park is also part of the West End theatre parking scheme, which offers theatre goers 50% off parking when they travel to London to see a show. Being located in such close proximity to a range of theatres and restaurants in London, this service has proved very popular with visitors to the city.
