Q-Park Celebrates Prestigious Award at Chinatown car park
The team at international car parking company Q-Park are celebrating, after receiving a European Standards Parking Award (ESPA) for their recently refurbished Chinatown car park. The highly sought after award was presented to Q-Park for successfully meeting the high standards required to obtain this recognised achievement.
The ESPA award is given to car parks which provide a superior level of quality across a range of different categories. The areas that are assessed include lighting, vehicle entry and exit, parking areas, pedestrian areas, lifts, stairwells and overall security. Throughout the judging process all aspects of the car park are observed and marked against strict assessment criteria. Everything from signage and kerb design to disabled access and staff presence are included in the assessment. Q-Park Chinatown successfully adheres to the standards set by the European Parking Association, thus resulting in the car park receiving this award.
Q-Park has recently refurbished the Chinatown car park, as part of a £10million refurbishment programme that is currently underway across their portfolio of Westminster car parks. The car park has been fully upgraded, fitted with new barrier and payment equipment, CCTV and secure entry systems. The car park also boasts brighter lighting, newly painted walls and floors and a glass fronted Hosts lodge which is manned 24 hours a day. With the car park situated in such a popular location, close to theatres and restaurants, Q-Park are proud to be able to offer such a safe and secure parking facility for customers to use.
Q-Park Managing Director, Adam Bidder comments “Chinatown is our first fully refurbished car park in London and we are extremely proud that is has achieved an ESPA award. Delivering a quality service and providing safe parking facilities is what Q-Park is all about and we hope that our customers will benefit from the work we have put into upgrading this car park.”
