PowerGo Secures Another Tender: Fast Chargers For Lillebælt (Denmark)

When drivers of electric vehicles (EV’s) drop by Lillebælt Syd, they will soon be able to use PowerGo’s fast chargers to speed up their travel time.

PowerGo has won another tender from the Danish Road Directorate (the Vejdirektoratet).

PowerGo has won another tender from the Danish Road Directorate (the Vejdirektoratet) and is now expanding its network of public charging stations with a fast charging location at the Lillebælt Syd along the highway E20.

It is crucial that drivers have the opportunity to charge their electric cars while traveling on the island of Fyn. We are therefore proud that we make it even more attractive for Danes to choose the electric car as their preferred means of transportation”, says PowerGo’s Tender Manager, Frederikke Fog.

The Vejdirektoratet divided Lillebælt Syd into two subcontracts, one of which PowerGo has won. The charging location will be PowerGo’s second along the Danish national roads and is expected to open in four months’ time. It will consist of seven fast chargers with a charging speed up to 400 kilowatts, each providing space for two vehicles to charge at the same time. Six of the fourteen parking spaces will accommodate longer vehicles such as cars with trailers, including camping trailers, or cars adapted for people with disabilities.

We want to create a comprehensive charging network that is accessible, affordable, and sustainable. We have great ambitions and will keep installing more charging stations to support the transition to zero-emission transportation.” Frederikke Fog, Tender Manager PowerGo

The new charging location is part of PowerGo’s initiative to roll out its Danish charging network, ensuring that Danes have significantly better opportunities to charge their electric vehicles. As part of this initiative, PowerGo has won eighteen tenders, installing over 1.600 public charging points in Denmark.

All EV drivers can use the charging stations, which are powered by 100 percent green energy. As a result, EV drivers can reduce CO2 emissions in transportation while experiencing fair and transparent charging prices that follow the current electricity price on an hourly basis. Users can charge and pay by using the PowerGo Charge app for dynamic prices and a variety of payment methods, or use a charging card or bank card.
