PowerGo Energizes Terrassa With New Ultra Fast Chargers for EV’s

PowerGo will provide the future EV charging hub in Terrassa, Barcelona, with eight 240 kilowatt (kW) chargers. Drivers charge their electric vehicles with 100% solar energy. The installation is also PowerGo’s largest charging site in Spain to date.

This new installation, carried out by the Dutch operator PowerGo, will be one of the fastest charging hubs in the area, in a strategic location due to its proximity to the A-2 and C-58 motorways. The new charging hub is located next to Parc Vallès shopping center in Terrassa, which received over 11 million visitors in 2023. It has numerous shops, restaurants, supermarkets, a cinema, and many other establishments.

With a growing demand for EV chargers, Parc Vallès and real estate owner ERYEL Invest work together with PowerGo to realize a fast-charging hub for their customers. This allows visitors to charge their EV while visiting the shopping center. “Ultra-fast charging will be very attractive for electric vehicle drivers on the C-58 motorway. With all our restaurants and retail offerings, we are sure that visitors with electric vehicles will be happy to come and charge here.” says Santiago Jiménez, CEO at ERYEL Invest.

PowerGo installs eight charging points with a maximum charging speed of 240 kilowatts on a new parking area next to the Parc Vallès east side entrance. In the future, PowerGo expects to expand the charging hub to sixteen charging points. “We are quickly expanding in Spain. A growing presence

PowerGo finances, builds and manages the entire fast-charging infrastructure. This full-circle solution from PowerGo has allowed Parc Vallès to install ultra-fast charging points without any investment.

The strategic location will also allow EV drivers passing by Terrassa to quickly charge their vehicles. PowerGo is looking for practical locations near shopping centers and in service areas on major roads to carry out its ultra-fast charging installations.
