Passport Launches Mobile Parking App for Purdue University
PassportParking® app now available at campus lot locations
An easier way to pay for parking is coming to Purdue University. The University has launched PassportParking®, powered by Passport, North America’s leading mobile parking app provider. The app will be available at various locations across campus where students and visitors can take advantage of paying from their phones anywhere they see PassportParking signage.
Passport makes parking easier by allowing customers to securely pay for parking in the app. To use the app, customers must register, select their length of stay, enter zone and space number from the meter or decal, and add their payment information.
“Smartphone technology brings modern convenience in a variety of ways and parking is no exception. Passport was chosen to provide the app because of its proven track record in major cities and universities and its commitment to an ongoing partnership. Students will love the ability to simply pay for parking from their phones and even extend their parking session,” said Holly Buskirk, Parking Manager at Purdue University.
Purdue University joins a growing number of universities powered by Passport, including Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Oregon State University, and the University of Florida. “We’re excited to bring mobile payments to Purdue University and feel confident students and visitors will embrace the technology and find it a lot easier to use than visiting the meter to pay,” said Drew Myers, Director of Operations at Passport and a Purdue alumnus.
The PassportParking® app is free to download from the iPhone App Store and Android Google Play. Drivers can also manage their parking at ppprk.com.
