Passport Parking App Now Available in Helena
City Launches First Mobile Parking Payment App
The City of Helena, Montana has launched a new way to pay for parking with the Passport Parking mobile app. The app can be used for more than 2,000 on-street and off-street spaces in Helena.
Paying to park with the app is simple. Users create an account and input their payment information and license plate number. Then, they can easily select a zone and start a parking session. When the parking session ends, users are notified and have the ability to extend the session without returning to their vehicle or a parking meter.
“We are so excited to offer drivers in Helena a new, convenient way to pay for parking,” said Dave Hewitt, City of Helena parking manager. “The Passport Parking app provides a great alternative to parking meters that is simple to use.”
Passport works with nearly 1,000 cities, universities and agencies to provide mobility software for parking, permits, enforcement, transit, tolling, and micro-mobility. Passport mobile pay parking apps are available in Missoula, Mont., University of North Dakota and Portland, Ore.
“As the world becomes more digital, people expect to be able to pay for almost anything with their phones and parking should be no exception,” said Sam Warnecke, sales executive at Passport. “We are glad to partner with Helena to offer drivers a convenient and positive parking experience.”
Users can download the free Passport Parking app from the App Store, Google Play or manage online at passportparking.com.
