New Rochelle, NY Offers New, Easier Payment Options For Parking And Permits With Passport

Parkers Can Now Experience Contactless Parking Payments And Easily Manage Permits Online

In partnership with Passport, the City of New Rochelle is streamlining parking and curb management with the launch of Passport’s mobile pay parking and digital permitting solutions. Beginning today, residents can purchase new permits and existing permit holders can manage their accounts through the online portal.

Also available is Passport Parking, the mobile payment app powered by Passport that allows drivers to conveniently pay for and manage parking sessions through their smartphones. After downloading the free app, a user enters the respective zone number, license plate number and the desired length of time for parking. Users can receive notifications when their sessions are about to expire and view receipts and parking history.

“Operating our parking and permitting operations under one solution with Passport allows our team to simplify day-to-day tasks and operate more efficiently,” says City Manager Kathleen Gill. “Most importantly, this digital transition will improve the user experience, saving parkers the need to carry cash to feed the parking meter.”

Passport is the only platform that brings together the complexities of mobility operations into one view to help cities improve decision-making and efficiencies. Other locations in Westchester County that partner with Passport include the Village of Mount Kisco, the Village of Ossining, the Village of Port Chester, the Hartsdale Public Parking District, the Village of Pelham, the City of White Plains, and the City of Rye.

“Passport’s technology will equip the City of New Rochelle with better insights to improve parking turnover, expand revenue opportunities and enhance the customer experience,” says Anthony Caddell, Passport senior account executive. “We are proud to be the City’s trusted partner and we look forward to helping them address challenges and streamline efficiencies.”

The Passport Parking app is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at passportparking.com. To purchase a new permit or to manage active permits, users can visit newrochelle.cmrpay.com/permits/login
