City of Newburgh Adopts New Digital Parking Enforcement Software

The Passport-Powered Solution Will Improve Citation Management

City of Newburgh Adopts New Digital Parking Enforcement Software

The City of Newburgh, N.Y. has launched a new digital parking enforcement software, powered by Passport, a leader in mobility management solutions for municipalities. The cloud-based software will allow enforcement officers to more efficiently and accurately identify if cars are complying with parking rates and rules and issue parking citations.

The Passport enforcement system is replacing the city’s previous provider, Duncan Solutions. Newburgh will also be rolling out Passport’s mobile pay parking solution, Passport Parking, later this year so the city will have an end-to-end parking and enforcement solution with one back office system.

With Passport’s enforcement software, city officials have access to unprecedented insights into their environment and can manage everything in real-time. Enforcement officers can issue citations using wireless handheld devices and Bluetooth printers and input violation information including photos. The real-time transfer of data enables parking administrators to access citation information immediately upon ticket issuance through Passport’s back office.

“The switch to Passport’s digital enforcement software is a great move for the City of Newburgh,” said Todd Venning, City of Newburgh Comptroller. “Our enforcement officers will be able to do their job more effectively and we are also providing our residents a more simplified way to pay a citation.”

“We are excited to partner with the City of Newburgh to upgrade their digital enforcement offering,” said Mollie Bolin, sales executive at Passport. “Our goal is to provide city leaders with the tools they need to move faster and run better and our enforcement and mobile pay parking solutions will do just that.”

Passport works with 1,000 clients to provide digital solutions for managing the curb. Many cities in New York are existing Passport clients including Buffalo, Albany and White Plains.
