Become a Master of Time with the PassportParking App®
PassportParking launches at University of Rochester
There’s one basic college course every student must pass. It doesn’t appear in the course catalog and it isn’t assigned a grade. However, it could result in a pass/fail at the end of the semester. Time management — it is one of the first lessons a student must learn when balancing school, a social life and oftentimes, work, too. For the students at the University of Rochester there’s a solution to help manage time. The university has recently upgraded from its current parking provider to PassportParking for a smoother and more convenient app experience. The app is powered by the global leader of mobile payments for parking and transit, Passport, serving cities and universities throughout North America.
The PassportParking app can be used in 70 spaces on Wilson Boulevard. Students can use the app to pay for parking, extend time remotely, view payments and receive emailed receipts with just a swipe of a finger. The app is also based on a users’ registered license plate number, so there is no need to remember a space number when parking.
“Students have a lot of stresses to handle. Parking shouldn’t be one of them,” said Alexandra Wells, Passport sales executive. “Our app will help students, as well as faculty and visitors, manage their time on campus and notifies them of when their parking will expire. That way they can make the most of their time.”
Passport is the industry’s leading mobile technology solution specializing in enterprise business applications and payments for the public and private sectors. The company works also works with Rochester’s southwestern neighbor, the City of Buffalo, where it powers the Buffalo Roam app. The PassportParking app is free to download through the App Store or Google Play. Users can also manage their parking at ppprk.com.
