Grosse Pointe Park, MI Makes Paying To Park Easier With Passport

- Grosse Pointe Park (Michigan, USA)
Passport makes Paying to Park Easier

The City of Grosse Pointe Park is introducing a new, easy-to-use mobile payment application for parking, Passport Parking. The app is powered by the leader in unified parking and curb management, Passport, and allows users to pay for and manage parking seamlessly through their smartphones.

The Passport Parking app, which is replacing the ParkMobile app, is free to download from the App Store or Google Play. After downloading, a user enters the respective zone number, license plate number and the desired length of time for parking. Users can receive notifications when their sessions are about to expire, extend their sessions remotely and view receipts and parking history. Users can also conveniently manage their parking online at passportparking.com.

We were looking for technology that can support both the needs of our staff and those parking in our community,” says Warren Grothe, Assistant City Manager. “With Passport, we have full visibility into activity on our curb, empowering us with the data needed to continue to enhance the parking experience. Additionally, our visitors and residents can enjoy the same app enjoyed by our neighboring city, Grosse Pointe.

Hundreds of cities and operators use Passport’s platform to power and operate parking enforcement, mobile pay parking, digital permitting, payments and more. With Passport, cities can centralize their parking data to operate more efficiently, increase revenue and improve the parking experience with an integrated solution.

Grosse Pointe Park is in good company, as Passport’s technology is trusted by numerous municipalities in the Michigan area, including Grand Rapids, Ferndale and Ann Arbor,” says Jake Breig, Passport account executive. “The City is excited to more efficiently manage its curb and we are grateful to be their consultative partner.

The Passport Parking app is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at passportparking.com.
