Fargo Becomes First City In North Dakota to Introduce Mobile Parking Technology with Launch of Passport App
The City of Fargo, along with its parking manager, Interstate Parking, is announcing a new way to pay for parking right from your smartphone. The City has introduced Passport, the industry-leading mobile payments provider for parking and transit, to all off-street metered parking spaces. Fargo is the first City in North Dakota to implement this type of parking technology, and with the launch of Passport, the City will innovate the way their drivers park in the area.
“Passport will give Fargo drivers flexibility in how they travel around the City,” said Andrew Renfrew, General Manager of Fargo Parking. “They won’t have to spend any time walking up to the pay station, because everything they need in order to pay for parking can be done right from the app on their phone.”
“We’re thrilled to be launching in Fargo,” said Chris Watt, Client Success Manager at Passport. “Drivers will be excited to see how easy the app is to use and also how much time it will save them when they pay for parking.”
Passport is the leading provider of mobile payments for parking and transit, and has deployed mobile payment services in large cities such as Toronto, Chicago, Boston, and Salt Lake City.
To get started with Passport’s service, parkers can download the PassportParking app from the iPhone App Store or Android GooglePlay. Users can also access the web-based application at http://m.ppprk.com
