White Plains Expands ParkWhitePlains Mobile App

ParkWhitePlains App Now Available in New Locations

ParkWhitePlains Mobile App

The City of White Plains has expanded the ParkWhitePlains app to new on and off street paid parking locations to give drivers more mobile pay options. ParkWhitePlains, the city’s custom mobile payment app, allows drivers to pay for parking from the convenience of their smartphone. The app has been popular with city drivers since its launch back in May 2015, when it replaced the city’s previous mobile payment provider. The mobile solution has received praise from users for its city branded look and easy to use app features. ParkWhitePlains is powered by industry leading mobile payments provider, Passport.

The City of White Plains will be introducing ParkWhitePlains at the following new lot locations: North Kensico-Terrace Lot, Post-Maple Lot, School Street Lot, Lexington-Maple Lot, Central-Tarrytown Lot, Waller-Livingston Lot, Waller-Carhart Lot, Mitchell Place Lot, and Bronx Street Lot.

We’ve been very pleased with the success of the ParkWhitePlains app,” said John Larsen, Commissioner of Parking at the City of White Plains. “It’s been a tremendous initiative for the White Plains community, and we’re looking forward to bringing this solution to additional parking locations.

This has been an exciting past several months in the City of White Plains. ParkWhitePlains has given the White Plains community a convenient, flexible parking solution that will soon include additional features to better their experience.” said Conor Kelly, Vice President of Sales at Passport.

After the app’s expansion, the City also plans to introduce a new feature to the ParkWhitePlains app. In addition to paying, monitoring, and extending parking sessions, drivers will soon be able to validate parking from the app as well. Using beacon technology at participating merchant locations, drivers will be able to park, enter a merchant location, and get validated automatically in the app.

The ParkWhitePlains app is free to download in the iPhone App Store or Android Google Play. Drivers can also get started at ParkWhitePlains.com.
