Albuquerque Modernizes its Parking Operations with Passport
The City Launches the Passport Parking App and Digital Enforcement System
New Mexico’s largest city has partnered with Passport, the leading mobility platform for parking and transportation payments, to manage its parking operations. The upgraded system will streamline Albuquerque’s operations by integrating their mobile pay parking and digital enforcement systems.
This is the first time that drivers in Albuquerque will have the option to pay for parking with their smartphones. The process is simple – drivers download the free Passport Parking app, create an account with payment information and enter their license plate number. Users can then manage and pay for their parking effortlessly from their smartphones.
For the City of Albuquerque, this partnership marks a great milestone. “Passport is making it possible for us to better serve our citizens by enhancing the parking experience through technology,” said Jeremy Keiser, parking division manager for the City of Albuquerque. “On top of that, we benefit from a modernized back-end system that operates more consistently and efficiently than it did before.”
The city’s parking management system connects mobile payments and enforcement in one secure place, creating efficiencies and a more seamless experience. All of the parking systems share data in real-time, so enforcement officers can use the technology to quickly identify parking violations.
“The most rewarding part is seeing how much of a difference our solutions can make to improve the lives of citizens and city leaders,” said Mac Martin, sales executive at Passport. “We are excited to welcome Albuquerque to Passport.”
The Passport Parking app is free to download from the App Store or Google Play. Drivers can also manage their parking online at passportparking.com.
