Number of parking spaces available no longer a surprise

In the German city of Dillingen the actual number of parking spaces available at the main town car park which is situated behind buildings, and therefore not visible from the road, is now no longer a surprise. Nedap partner CUR-Systemtechnik installed the innovative wireless parking sensor system  to guide visitors to available spots at this parking lot.

The most important parking facility in the city of Dillingen is located at an inner courtyard and not visible from the main access road. This resulted in visitors continuously searching for a free space to park their car. This parking lot consists of spaces for public use as well as pre-defined bays for residents and for customers of a local bank.

With the installation of Nedap SENSIT, real-time guidance signing along the street informs motorists about the number of parking spaces available. CUR-Systemtechnik implemented this innovative parking solution in answer to the challenge of the city of Dillingen to decrease traffic congestion, to simplify finding a free parking space for visitors and to improve the occupancy rates of the existing parking facility in its city centre.
