Incinity and Nedap Cooperate to Optimize the Utilization of Parking Spaces in Europe

Nedap and Incinity join forces to enable cities to optimize the utilization of available parking spaces. The integration between Nedap’s smart parking sensors and Incinity’s software solution ensures optimization of traffic and parking management, in order to guide drivers to an available parking space. Through this optimization, valuable data about traffic flow in cities will be collected 24/7, and search traffic and CO2 emissions will be reduced.

Incinity and Invipo Platform

Incinity is a Czech software house developing and delivering its own integration platform for smart cities and intelligent transportation systems called Invipo. Nedap’s SENSIT delivered a parking bay occupancy detection platform that utilizes robust, accurate and cost-effective IoT-based in-ground parking sensors. The parking data that indicates whether a space is occupied and, if so, for how long, is seamlessly integrated into Incinity’s software Invipo. The integration of Nedap SENSIT’s parking data into the Invipo platform is certified by Incinity.

Joint Solution to Optimize the Parking Capacity

The combination of SENSIT parking data and Invipo platform allows parking and traffic authorities to make optimal policy decisions based on real-time and analytical occupancy data. With this joint solution, cities get insight into the utilization of parking bays and can easily guide drivers to available parking spaces. Special parking bays for different user groups, such as disabled people, loading/unloading, and bays for electric vehicles, can also be better served by insight into the use of it.

A good example of the collaboration between Nedap and Incinity is the project in the Bulgarian city of Vratsa. The nightmare of all visitors to the city’s sights is to find free parking nearby. In the Bulgarian city of Vratsa, city officials addressed the issue of monitoring parking availability and utilization in the city center and nearby points of interest. The cooperation between Nedap and Incinity has made it possible to create a public portal on which a visitor or citizen can easily find information about parking availability. Thanks to the very smooth integration of Nedap’s SENSIT solution, the Invipo platform displays useful information such as prices, opening hours, and real-time parking occupancy, including safe navigation to free places. Smart City Projects

In addition to the city of Vratsa, the first projects have also been jointly rolled out in the cities of Izmir (Turkey), Šenkvice (Slovakia), and Esbjerg and Ribe (Denmark). As a result, existing parking spaces are optimally used and vehicles are easily guided to a free parking space. In addition to less traffic congestion, this also results in less search traffic, emissions and noise.
