Vehicle access control at Vodafone Village
Vodafone Village, the new headquarters of Vodafone Italy, is an advanced and futuristic complex of 67,000 square meters. It houses the 3,000 Vodafone employees and is one of the leading real estate investment of the Vodafone Group. The complex is known for its unique architecture, eco-sustainability and technological characteristics.
This state-of-the-art complex required automatic and convenient vehicle access control. Not only for security reasons, but to create an easy and comfortable parking facility as well.
The Nedap ANPR Access readers, one at every entrance and exit lane, used for this project were installed by Honeywell. Using the Wiegand Interface Module from Nedap the readers are directly connected to the EBI (Enterprise Building Integrator) supervisory system of Honeywell.
The application is part of vehicles and visitors access control at Vodafone buildings. The subsystem manages the access to the 3 parking lots with a total of 500 car spaces. When a vehicle license plate is introduced, the system creates the badge and the authorization which allows access to the car park.
