Excellent figures for Nedap AVI in the 1st half-year
Nedap’s market group AVI saw its revenue rise once more in the 1st half-year of 2013. Both the products for long range vehicle and people identification and for wireless parking detection made a significant contribution to this performance improvement.
The use of the wireless sensor system SENSIT for (on-street) parking in cities is quickly growing in popularity. The SENSIT system has already been applied in several projects and additional projects are planned to be executed all around the world.
In general, the revenue of Nedap is more or less the same and the profit is somewhat below expectations in the 1st half-year of 2013. The revenue of the N.V. Nederlandsche Apparatenfabriek “Nedap” for the 1st half-year 2013, at € 82,0 million, was almost identical to the very good 1st half-year 2012 (€ 83.7 million). The added value at € 57.2 million was also virtually the same (1st half-year 2012: € 56.5 million). The profit after tax - due to the composition of revenue and further investment in innovation and in the marketing and sales
organisation - showed a decline from € 6.6 million to € 5.1 million, and thus amounted to
6.2% of revenue (1st half-year 2012: 7.9%).
