Traffic Counting and Parking Management with TAPS Ground Sensors by LTS in the Aadorf Industrial Area

On behalf of the city of Aadorf and a local property manager, eight TAPS ground sensors were installed on Industriestrasse for traffic and parking management. With the solution from LTS AG, the parking spaces are managed with TAPS and the traffic in the industrial area of Aadorf can be analyzed. Four TAPS ground sensors for traffic counting were installed on the two-lane main road. In addition, four parking spaces with four TAPS ground sensors were installed for parking management.

The property manager of the parking infrastructure can now use the TAPS software suite to evaluate and monitor parking behavior. The TAPS sensors immediately send a notification when a vehicle has parked or stopped in a forbidden area. Some parking spaces can only be occupied by certain vehicles or groups (employees, visitors, logistics, etc.). The property manager can recognize illegal parkers and long-term parkers and can penalize them if necessary.

The property manager is one of the largest property managers in the canton of Thurgau and is very interested in a parking space management solution. Owners and landlords can now benefit from high quality with the latest parking technology. Thanks to the close proximity of the project site and the LTS AG location, new hardware system updates can be carried out and tested promptly. So our customers always have the latest technology and we have a test site for the introduction of new products. For traffic sensors on the road, work has been carried out on vehicle classification and real-time data transmission since quarter 4 2019. We want to offer our customers greater added value for installation and a high-quality alternative to induction loops.
