GO TO-U Provides Access to 5,000 Charging Points at Elli Stations by Volkswagen Group

Elli, owned by Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH, is an energy and charging service provider that forms part of the Volkswagen Group. This division was established in 2018 with the primary mission of providing universal charging solutions for electric vehicle brands such as Volkswagen, Skoda, SEAT, Audi, and Cupra. This is especially important, given that the Volkswagen Group is a leader in the European electric vehicle market. For example, in 2022, over 349,200 Volkswagen, Skoda, Cupra, Audi, and Porsche electric vehicles were sold in the EU, accounting for 22.4% of the market.

Elli offers installation and management services for both public and home charging stations. Their network of public charging stations is mainly concentrated in Germany but is also present in other EU countries.

As of today, the GO TO-U platform provides access to 4,885 Elli charging stations located in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. These are stations with CCS and Type 2 connectors, with power ranges from 11 to 150 kW, located both in urban areas and along highways, ensuring maximum coverage.

A distinctive feature is that in the GO TO-U app, users can not only easily find Elli stations but also monitor their status in real-time. Thanks to the "Active Monitoring" function, drivers receive notifications about connector status changes (free/busy), allowing for the planning of charging sessions and route adjustments with maximum accuracy, saving the most valuable resource - time. The driver can simultaneously monitor the status of up to 3 stations, with a maximum monitoring duration of 12 hours.

The GO TO-U app is available for download in the Play Market (for Android-based smartphones) and the App Store (for iOS-based devices). In total, it features 330,000 charging stations at 17,500 locations in 64 countries worldwide.
