Tendring District Council, UK, orders solar powered terminals

Tendring District Council, located in north-east Essex, have ordered further solar powered Cale MP104 pay and display terminals.
Because many of the Cale terminals installed across the Borough over the years are located on or close to the North Sea coast, the fact that Cale terminals are made of stainless steel as standard is particularly attractive, as this provides enhanced resistance to corrosion despite the salty sea air.

The Council is able to collect comprehensive data from their pay and display terminals via a PCM memory card. This small, industry standard and low-cost memory card can store over half a million vends or events, from which data is then transferred to a back-office PC. The operator is then able to inspect and interpret each terminals data via everyday software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and SQL.
