A Breif Summary of the Highlights From May

Get up to date with all the latest news and developments from the parking industry.

As lockdowns are lifted and restrictions are eased we can begin making tentative steps towards recovery. What recovery will look like exactly, remains to be seen. However, there is some consensus about how we can adapt to meet changing consumer behavior. And so, this month through our Parking Network Virtual Conference and Quick Question series we have explored ways to overcome the current challenges facing the industry.

The Parking Network Virtual Conference returned this month with a packed agenda that drew a large audience from countries around the world. Over two days more than 40 parking professionals led short and informative sessions dedicated to the latest solutions and services available to the industry. We were also joined by municipal parking experts during two Parking Talks panel discussions focused on Covid-19’s impact on city parking.

Don’t miss out on the third edition of our Parking Network Virtual Conference will be taking place from 29th – 30th June.

We kicked the month off by wrapping up our Quick Question: What Is the Major Challenge at This Moment in Time for the Parking Industry? Unsurprisingly, the focus fell on the impact of Covid-19, but we were pleased with the solutions and reassuring words our speakers had to share during these uncertain times.

Our Parking Talks: Combatting Covid-19 panel discussion also gave us reason to hope. Schiphol Airport, Parkopedia, ParkMobile, IP Parking, FlashParking, and IdeaS shared their thoughts on how the industry might evolve, what products will prove popular once restrictions are listed and how they have begun planning for the future.

And, shifting the focus away from Coronavirus we asked the Parking Network community What Mobility Means to Them? It certainly seems as though there is a lot of enthusiasm in the parking industry to assimilate mobility as the way people move from point a to point b evolves.
