After being banned by the City of San Francisco, parking app Sweetch introduced Freetch; an open source project that offers up the app’s code in order to find a solution to San Francisco’s public parking problem. Since Sweetch offered up its code it’s been receiving numerous request from developers all over the world solve the parking problem.
Sweetch is an app that allows users to sell their public parking space. Remember the MonkeyParking app that stirred things up a while ago? Yes, that’s why the city banned them. However, Sweetch adapted the city rules and regulation, in particular by offering “Spot Angels”. A service that informs users of street closures and clearings.
