INTEGRA-pw is not just a safety barrier, a mesh mat or even a fence – no, INTEGRA-pw is a safety barrier with integrated vehicle collision protection in one system solution! In the event of collision, it guarantees that the acting loads are transferred to the substructure and in doing so fulfils the legal requirements of the State Building Code (LBO) as well as the valid European standards for collision protection systems in parking structures.
Various system heights
One of the significant benefits of INTEGRA-pw is that it enables large widths between posts of up to 5,506 mm and a variety of system heights. Our proven lattice dimensions guarantee flexible use. The lateral attachment to existing building supports/supporting structure means that it does not need to be anchored to the road surface, so an additional substructure is only required for parking structures built with concrete.
Transfer of the impact energy
The rope effect causes the mesh mat to deform if a collision occurs. A special, patented fastening system transfers the impact energy via the mat to the substructure (steel or concrete supports with concrete connections for attaching the INTEGRA-pw). This minimises damage to the vehicle.
High ventilation cross-section
The ventilation cross-section of over 80% enables custom design options for a bright, friendly and well-ventilated multi-storey car park, including open structures without a façade. With its graceful design, INTEGRA-pw ensures the necessary safety behind architectural façades, without compromising aesthetic requirements. INTEGRA-pw can be ideally combined with glare protection from our INTEGRA-pw extra portfolio. It is attached directly to the mesh mat, without requiring an additional substructure.
Cost/benefit factor
The efficient use of materials makes INTEGRA-pw especially economical right now, in times of price instability. Weighing only around 10 kg/m (INTEGRA-pw 1143 approx. 12 kg / lfm), the INTEGRA-pw 943 car park safety barrier almost qualifies as a “lightweight”. The low material input and effort for assembly keeps both the cost of material and installation at a minimal level.
Installation at an early stage often removes the need for an additional, temporary safety barrier for parking levels during construction.
