New Taipei Civic Square, Taiwan is the go-to place for holiday events and weekend getaways. It is surrounded by shopping malls and train stations making it a very crowded parking lot all year round. In Taiwan, there are about six motorcycles per 10 people and so the optimization of motorcycle parking area becomes a must for reducing motorcycle traffic congestion. Parkxper worked with the Transportation Department of the New Taipei City Government and proposed an innovative solution for better motorcyclist parking experience: the Motorcycle Parking Guidance System.
Motorcycle Parking Guidance System
This underground 1,797 space motorcycle parking lot is equipped with Parkxper’s latest technology to provide riders the best parking experience they will ever have. A camera-based parking guidance system with LED indicator lights was installed throughout the parking lot. Parkxper overcame the irregular parking habit challenge, which is having more than one vehicle parking in one bay, by using the self-developed object identification technology. It can detect a motorcycle at every possible angle and recognize license plate numbers with an amazing 99% accuracy rate.
Car Finder Kiosk
In a sea of motorcycles, it is almost impossible to find your vehicle if you forgot where you have parked. Instead of walking around in a hot and humid parking lot, Parkxper’s Car Finder Kiosk is here to save your day. Simply by inputting your license plate number, the kiosk will show you your motorcycle location with the fastest route available.
Full-Time Recording
Unlike the traditional ultrasonic sensors, our camera-based sensors have the ability of 24/7 video recording. Riders’ safety and property are two of the most important things when running a parking lot, this feature then becomes indispensable.
IP Emergency Intercom
In a large parking lot, there could be incidents happening anytime. Aside from getting assistance from the operator, we also set up an emergency intercom with two-way audio and one-way video for immediate assistant.
