He was born in 1970 in Bursa, Turkey. He graduated from Civil Engineering Department of Yildiz University, in 1991. He completed his master's degree in Transportation in 1994. In 2002, he earned his Ph. D. in Transportation Engineering. Currently he is a faculty member in the Yildiz Technical University Civil Engineering Department. Dr. Yardım has been teaching at undergraduate level Highway, Highway Design, Traffic Engineering, Highway Pavements, Railway, Urban Transportation Systems, Public Transit Transfer Center Design courses. In the graduate program, he instructed Transportation Planning, Transportation Operations, Parking Planning and Management courses and supervised several master of science and doctoral thesis also. His scientific research topics are; highway engineering, traffic engineering, parking planning and management, parking customer behavior analysis, urban transportation planning, public transport systems, traffic congestion pricing, Istanbul Historical Peninsula transportation problems, flexible highway pavements. He also presented numerous works in several scientific meetings, completed research projects. He has consulted with a variety of transportation projects and is an expert in the courts. Dr. Yardım is married and is the father of two children, speaks English. Also he is part time lecturer at the Hasan Kalyoncu University and Istanbul Aydin University.
