WPS for a hunger free world
On Sunday November 6 a team of WPS staff participated in the Run for the Hunger, a running event organized to raise money to fight hunger across the world. Over 100 teams of 6 athletes had to run a total of 40 kilometers and raise as much as money as possible.The WPS team finished as 56th, but in the end it was not the result that counted, it was the € 210.000 that had been collected for the Hunger Project in Benin.
The Hunger Project is a non-profit organization committed to a sustainable end of world hunger. Instead of simply donating food or money, the Hunger Project tries to end hunger and poverty by empowering people to lead lives of self-reliance, meet their own basic needs and build better futures for their children.WPS is not only contributing to a more sustainable environment by introducing new and green products, such as WPS Park & Recharge, it also tries to improve society by participating in events such as the Run for the Hunger.
