WPS: Van der Valk Hotel Schiedam

The new Van der Valk Hotel Schiedam will be opened in April 2022. A unique, modern hotel, which has made great strides, especially in the field of sustainability. The property is gasless, fully electric and energy is generated by means of solar panels. In addition, the height of the hotel is no less than 65 meters, there are 16 floors with a total of 184 rooms and the 420 parking spaces offer enough space for the car.

As a preferred supplier, WPS has been able to provide this beautiful location with a state-of-the-art parking installation and future-proof parking solution that ensures a comfortable parking experience for both staff and visitors.

About the Project

The Challenge:

Comfort and hospitality are important pillars for the hotel chain, also when it comes to parking. A user-friendly, fast and reliable parking solution is a must. Due to the strategic location of the hotel (on the highway), a closed parking facility is required. Just like a system that handles exceptions well, such as short-term parking and staff and regular suppliers.

The Solution:

In our role as Official Preferred Supplier, we sat at the drawing board with Van der Valk Schiedam at an early stage, which has led to optimal implementation of the parking facility at this location. Our parking solutions make 'comfortable parking' possible. This means that you can easily drive in and out on a license plate, set that parking is free for guests, staff, and regular suppliers, and can also apply different types of subscriptions; including a multi-day subscription or a discount module.

The Result:

Our parking solutions ensure that guests and visitors can enter and exit the Van der Valk Schiedam parking facility quickly and hospitably at all times. During the duration of their stay, hotel guests drive in and out automatically via their license plate, as do staff, regular suppliers and short-term parkers who come for lunch, dinner or a meeting. In addition, Van der Valk is completely unburdened, because WPS takes care of the coordination and implementation of the installations and maintenance.
