A head start for WPS in Denmark
Even before signing the official agreement to become the exclusive partner of WPS in Denmark, Lindpro a/s has been awarded an order for installing a ParkID parking management solution at the exclusive Crowne Plaza Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark. The complete system, consisting of entry and exit terminals and automated pay-on-foot stations, will be installed before the opening of the hotel in Novembe
Situated in the newly-built Copenhagen Towers, the Crowne Plaza Hotel is not only the largest hotel investment in Denmark ever, it is also the first low-energy and CO2 neutral hotel in Denmark. The Copenhagen Towers meet the EU requirements for being certified as Green Building. Renewable energy sources, such as groundwater from 100 meters below the surface and high technology solar panels, provide all the energy for the hotel.
WPS also contributes to the green image of the hotel by offering an alternative mean of identification. Guests and employees of the Crowne Plaza Hotel can use their hotel card as access identifier for the parking facility. This way WPS tries to reduce the amount of paper tickets issued at the entrance of the parking.
Only a couple of weeks after the opening of this 4-star hotel, Copenhagen will host the UN Climate Summit, and the Crowne Plaza Hotel will be ready to welcome the worlds presidents, ministers and climate experts to its 366 bedrooms, restaurant, bar, lounge and other facilities.
Being awarded this contract and being able to present ParkID during the UN Climate Summit is truly a head start for WPS and ParkID in Denmark.
