NJ Alliance for Action Awards Committee Recognizes TimHaahs as a Distinguished Engineer
The New Jersey Alliance for Action recently held its first annual Distinguished Engineering Awards program. The program recognized firms for their outstanding work related to parking facilities, highways, bridges, power plants, medical centers, dams, storm sewers, coastline recovery work after Superstorm Sandy, water supply, flood control, pipelines and parks.
Timothy Haahs and Associates, Inc. (TimHaahs) was named an award winner for the innovative engineering and design of the Atlantic City, NJ mixed-use parking facility, “The Wave”.
“The Wave” is part of Atlantic City’s redevelopment and revitalization effort to transform its downtown core to a more active and vibrant environment. In the role of engineer, architect, designer and parking consultant, TimHaahs designed the 1180-space facility to support the demands of nearby retail, restaurants, residential housing, a hotel, convention center, an entertainment center and more. It also integrates uses beyond parking, including ground floor retail.
TimHaahs worked with project Owner, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA), as well as L. Feriozzi Concrete Company, Standard Parking Corporation, PSX Inc., and Amano McGann, Inc. to create a “gateway” to the City that supports the growing parking needs of the area, promotes walkability and sustainability, as well as provides an attractive first impression.
