Smart Parking extends Matalan parking services contract

Smart Parking is pleased to announce that they have now entered into an extended services contract with one of their existing clients, UK fashion and homeware retailer, Matalan.

The Contract will see Smart Parking deploy their Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) at 88 Matalan sites across the UK, increasing from 29 sites that they currently manage.

The system will integrate with Smart Parking’s industry leading SmartRep parking management software across the ANPR enabled sites to improve parking pattern analysis and future capacity decision-making.

This follows a successful trial with Matalan where ANPR and pay and display technology were linked to provide greater efficiency in the utilisation and management of Matalan’s car parks.

In addition to ANPR, Smart Parking will continue to enhance their management services agreement with Matalan by helping to increase the number of car parks in its estate achieving the Park Mark standard; car park fabric checks & fault notifications; and full annual audits of their car parks.

The Contract reflects continued development in the company’s Management Services division as Smart Parking technology is deployed into more of our managed services estate.
