Smart Parking opens for business at Elmdon
Smart Parking has opened a fully integrated operational facility at Elmdon, Birmingham, in a move that will ensure even better service for the company’s clients across the UK.
While its UK head office will remain in Perth, the company’s new location on the Elmdon Trading Estate in the West Midlands will become its main operational hub, says Smart Parking’s National Head of Operations Charlotte Harvey.
“Elmdon enables us to consolidate our key functions in one place”, comments Harvey. “Our engineering, operations, maintenance, field support, training, and sales teams will all now be based there. And because it is a large facility, we can centralise our equipment and parts stores, and that means we will be able to make further improvements to our levels of customer service efficiency.”
Located next to the NEC to the south of Birmingham, the Elmdon Trading Estate is ideally situated for Smart Parking’s clients and employees. “We are a short walk to both Birmingham International Airport and the railway station”, says Harvey, “and we’re very close to the motorway network – so access is ideal.”
Harvey also says that Smart Parking will be using some of the extensive space at Elmdon to showcase the company’s technology and service innovations. “We will be creating a virtual car park at Elmdon so that we can demonstrate to customers how our solutions work and how our innovations can make the car parking experience even better.”
