Telstra Choose Smart Parking as Preferred Supplier of Intelligent Parking Technology

Smart Parking Limited (ASX:SPZ) a global leader in intelligent parking solutions is pleased to announce that it has joined forces with leading Australian telecommunications company Telstra Corporation Limited (ASX:TLS) as part of Telstra’s smart city initiative.

Telstra began their deployment of smart city Internet of Things (IoT) technology in May 2017 in the city of Joondalup, Western Australia. The technology includes sensors that monitor temperature, humidity, pollution, light, vehicle activity and noise levels to give residents in Joondalup a smarter, better place to live.

Telstra has chosen Smart Parking as its preferred supplier of sensors for the provision of real time parking information to city residents and visitors. To date, five contracts have been signed:

• City of Joondalup: 120 sensors and dynamic signage - May 2017. Visit Telstra Exchange
• City of Casey - 904 sensors and dynamic signage - November 2017. Visit Telstra Exchange
• Cairns Regional Council: 224 sensors - November 2017
• City of Greater Geelong: 209 sensors - December 2017
• Broken Hill City Council: 105 sensors - December 2017

Smart Parking has negotiated a special Purchase Order (PO) agreement with Telstra which sets the rates and conditions of contracts. This agreement will now allow Telstra to bring Smart Parking's innovative solutions to communities across Australia.
