Smart Parking Announces to ASX that a Letter of Intent has been Received from the City of Adelaide

Smart parking is delighted to announce that after a robust tender process we have received a letter of intent to supply and install 2,800 real-time parking sensors – which along with our guidance and payment app and dashboard reporting - will be deployed in the City of Adelaide in 2018.

The smart parking project is a key initiative of the City of Adelaide’s ongoing Smart City agenda and Smart Parking will help them with this vision by ensuring that when people drive into the city they are afforded an easy system to find and pay for their parking.

The technology includes a smart system whereby sensors provide real-time occupancy data into Smart Parking’s SmartCloud platform. This information will then be relayed back to motorists so they can remotely top up their parking or check how much time they have left, as well as providing the City of Adelaide with accurate data and analytics. The City can then use this information during decision making around future infrastructure needs of the city.
Along with the installed equipment Smart parking has also been engaged to fulfil a 5-year maintenance contract to ensure the system is always operating at its maximum capability.
