Swiss business complex Sihlcity opens with customer parking by SKIDATA

It calls itself the world's "smallest big city" - and that's no exaggeration. Sihlcity in Zurich is a residential, business, leisure and and shopping district of truly remarkable proportions and Switzerland's largest building construction project ever. Yesterday (March 22) marked the beginning of the four-day opening ceremony, with a series of entertainment, opening offers and exhibitions.
Last year the operators of this town within a city, which is expected to be frequented by an average 20,000 visitors every day, chose SKIDATA (Switzerland) AG to supply a parking management solution for the entire complex. At the core of the solution, the proven APT 450 system provides reliable access control and efficient back-office support to ensure smooth entry and exit without delays.

"We've completed the installation at Sihlcity well ahead of the opening date, so as far as parking is concerned, it's 'all systems go'."

Sihlcity is the latest in a string of Car Access projects in Switzerland to be completed this year. Next on the agenda are the follow-up installations at car parks of Swiss retail giant Migros, and, of course, the recently won stadium project in St Gallen.
