SKIDATA Announces Their Latest Municipal Parking Project for The City of San José, California.

SKIDATA is proud to be partnering with the City of San José, California on their parking improvement project. The latest in a long list of municipal parking projects for the company, this deployment is set to provide the advanced SKIDATA solution for eight municipal parking garages.

This massive parking improvement project will not only include the tried-and-true Power.Gate entry and exit columns with Barrier.Gates, but integrates a system of web-based and mobile conveniences that will provide in-depth analytics and data to the City while simplifying the parking experience for visitors and residents.

Some of the advanced functionality and integrations set to be a part of this smart-city solution include License Plate Recognition (LPR) systems, E-Ticketing and Print @ Home functionality, SKIDATA’s sweb.Validate – web-based validation platform, and the Smarking data analysis system. One additional aspect that is set to make the parking experience an enjoyable and unique one is an upgrade to 13 downtown wayfinding signs to help minimize congestion by eliminating the need to search for an available parking space.
