SKIDATA Announces Completion of Installation for City of Walnut Creek, California

SKIDATA has just completed their latest Municipal PARCS installation for the City of Walnut Creek in Contra Costa County, California.

One of the most important must-haves of the updated system was to provide a user-friendly  smart-parking experience. SKIDATA provided their cutting edge system to replace the city’s existing 9 year old token system and provide previously unattainable functionality.

The 3 city garages include a total of 12 lanes of equipment and 9 APMs – 7 cash & credit Easy.Cash units and 2 credit card only Credit.Cash devices. SKIDATA’s tried and true Power.Gate column devices are installed at entry and exit with corresponding Barrier.Gates. All devices include 2D barcode scanners as well as EMV credit card processing with NFC readers. The advanced web based solutions of sweb.Validate and sweb.Control are implemented on site to provide simplified processes for parking validations as well as operator control and monitoring.


The installation was implemented in stages to ensure minimal disruption to everyday operations and the community and is now fully deployed and live.
