Handshake To Debut On American Stages
Thanks to a recently concluded cooperation between SKIDATA and Tessitura ( www.tessiturasoftware.com ), the largest provider of ticketing and software solutions for opera houses, concert halls and theatres in the US, SKIDATA handshake will soon bring music to the ears of performing arts organisations throughout the US.
SKIDATA and Tessitura announced their strategic pas de deux last week at the 2004 Tessitura Network User Conference in Seattle. A presentation by SKIDATA representative Martin Kloboucnik on SKIDATA and the handshake™ access solution was attended by over 450 guests, most of them senior marketing, IT, and account managers from Tessitura's high-profile clientele.
The presentation generated a lot of interest among the audience – so much so that during the break-out session, Kloboucnik, SKIDATA's representative for event systems in the US, was approached by another group of around 60 conference attendees requesting information on SKIDATA™ technologies and already discussing the technical specifics of possible future projects.
As usual in the performing arts business, the conference ended on a high note, with the announcement of the “first early adaptors”, whose venues will soon be moving to the tune of handshake™. The list includes famous arts organisations such as the Baltimore Symphony ( www.baltimoresymphony.org ), the San Francisco Symphony ( www.sfsymphony.org ), and the Woodruff Arts Center ( www.woodruffcenter.org ) in Atlanta.
