Sighthound Welcomes New President and CEO
Sighthound is pleased to announce that Ryan Campbell has joined the company as President; and Jonathan Taylor, Sighthound’s Chairman and Co-Founder, has returned to the role of CEO. Ryan's diverse leadership background includes engineering, human resources, network operations, corporate culture, and customer service. In 1999, Jonathan and Ryan launched Voxeo to make phone applications easy to develop and deploy. Over 13 years they grew Voxeo into the Gartner-recognized leader for in-cloud and on-premise automated customer care platforms. Voxeo was acquired by Aspect Software in 2013 for $145m.
During his fourteen years at Voxeo, Ryan held the positions of Senior Vice President of Engineering, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Culture Officer. As a delivery focused leader, Ryan has led companies to profitability and continued success in a variety of industries including communications, e-commerce, security, and retail. At Sighthound, Ryan is in charge of building an intentional culture of high performance and customer obsession.
"The Sighthound team has developed industry-leading Vision-AI and Computer Vision solutions. Energizing that team to give industry-conquering customer attention while having some fun along the way is a very welcome next step for me." said Ryan.
As a "full-stack entrepreneur" and investor, Jonathan has started eight companies, ran six, invested in twelve, sold seven, and acquired seventeen others.
After founding Voxeo – but before selling it – Jonathan led the spin-out of Tropo, Inc. from Voxeo and served as its Chairman. Tropo delivered the first carrier-grade, real-time communications platform powered by modern developer technologies. Tropo was acquired by Cisco in 2015. The Tropo team is at the heart of the Cisco WebEx platform to this day.
Jonathan has repeatedly taken companies from strategy to reality. "I am excited to return to the CEO role," said Jonathan. "Sighthound has great products, people, partners, and customers, and is uniquely positioned to leverage change in the privacy-protection and vehicle-identification markets.”
