Valet Parking Meets Artificial Intelligence with Valexa, by Service Tracking Systems
This week, Service Tracking Systems (STS) has unveiled the world’s first valet parking skill developed for Amazon’s electronic personal assistant, Alexa. Simply coining their new feature “Valexa”, STS continues to build on their history of innovative new approaches to “reshape the way the world does valet”.
Kai Schuette, Founder and CEO of Service Tracking Systems, describes why Valexa is the latest and greatest way to connect parking operations with customers: “The cutting edge of hospitality is the ability to connect all departments seamlessly. Valexa is exactly the type of virtual handshake that can make it happen- customers can instantly connect to any department in a hotel or casino operation, which opens thousands of possibilities for innovation.”
Any valet customer with access to a connected Alexa product can use a handful of commands to have their car retrieved by a valet or schedule a time to have the car brought around, as long as the device has the Valexa skill enabled. The commands include an extensive directory of car makes and brands, which will ensure that any valet customer using the system is able to find their vehicle. Lastly, as with all Alexa-enabled devices, the system “learns” from its experiences, and can have increasingly intelligent exchanges with customers.
“She is still pretty new at it, and is waiting for more users to help polish some of her intuitive replies, but she’s doing a great job so far”, laughs Kai. “We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of what lies ahead for valet and hospitality connectivity, and we’re excited to introduce this first step to the world!”
