Scheidt & Bachmann UK Appointed Onto The NHS Shared Business Services Car Parking Framework Agreement
Scheidt & Bachmann UK are delighted to announce our appointment to a NEW framework agreement which is set to make the provision and maintenance of car parking simpler and cheaper for the public sector.
The "Car Park Management and Infrastructure" framework agreement, managed by NHS Shared Business Services, has been designed to be a comprehensive one-stop solution for all car parking needs.
The framework covers everything from car park construction and design through to management; electric car charging points; pay-on-foot machines, cycle parking, and more.
As the first truly comprehensive OJEU-compliant framework in this area, the agreement can be accessed free of charge by all UK-based public sector organizations, including local authorities, educational institutions, housing associations, and the emergency services as well as the NHS.
Organizations have the option of making a direct award to Scheidt & Bachmann UK or running a mini-competition to assist in the selection process and drive additional benefits.
The new framework supports "The Road to Zero" - the government's green agenda - by providing electric vehicle charging and cycle parking infrastructure. It also aligns with DoH HTM 07-03 - the framework developed by the Department of Health and Social Care to support NHS car parking management by providing guidance on sustainable transport, car park management, and car park equipment.
Phil Davies, Director of Procurement at NHS Shared Business Services, explained:
"We've listened to the needs of both the NHS and wider public sector when setting up this framework agreement, and we're pleased it's one of the most comprehensive and forward-thinking available, with an emphasis on carbon savings with a lot for Electrical Vehicle Charging and the UK's first nationwide framework to cover cycle parking."
Nick Maley, Commercial Director at Scheidt & Bachmann UK, explained:
“Scheidt & Bachmann are truly delighted and honored to be accepted onto this framework and look forward to playing our part in offering value and world-class parking innovation solutions to the NHS Business Services and their members alike. We look forward to this relationship and our involvement growing greater over the coming years.”
