fahrRad.Parkhaus Mainz by Scheidt & Bachmann
In the spirit of networked multimodality, a fahr Rad.Parkhaus at Mainz main station is available to cyclists and rail customers.
The operator of the comfortable mobility house at the western exit of the train station, PMG Parken in Mainz GmbH, offers 764 free parking spaces and 236 spaces in a secure, fee-based area, where even boxes can be rented and e-bike batteries can be charged. In addition to daily and monthly rates, an annual pass and discounts, for example for students, are also available. Parking spaces for cargo and recumbent bikes, as well as for child trailers are also available.
The technology partner Scheidt & Bachmann Parking Solutions from Mönchengladbach takes care of the automated processing: access is via turnstiles, which are managed by control devices. Payment can be made cashlessly via the pay machine, app, or with a bank or credit card at the pay machine. The mobility house is connected to the control center of PMG Parken in Mainz GmbH.
A time-saving functionality is in preparation for commuters who then change trains or regular users. The access authorization can then be purchased online in advance on a website: log in and register, purchase a ticket and then use it conveniently.
fahrRad.Parkhaus has twice the capacity of the previous parking space. There is now enough space for all commuters and the bicycles and electric bicycles are safe.
