entervo the new brand name of Scheidt & Bachmann is presented to the public for the first time on the Intertraffic in Amsterdam.
entervo logo.pngFor more than 135 years, the name Scheidt & Bachmann has been linked on an international basis with high-quality products. The house of systems with its headquarters in Mönchengladbach, Germany, is extremely active at present in four business segments: It is developing and producing parking and leisure centre systems, petrol station systems, fare collection systems as well as signalling systems and is offering project management and service for these systems.

In line with the principle "Hold on to what is best reach out for what is new", the Scheidt & Bachmann business unit Parking and Leisure Centre Systems is taking a consistent and success-oriented step as part of its development and offer strategy: from being a versatile manufacturer of reliable systems and components to becoming a worldwide leading specialist for integrated parking and access solutions. So the specific orientation for the future is as follows: pioneering fully integrated software solutions for our excellent hardware portfolio from a single source worldwide.

It is now logical that we should give our products and services an equally distinct name and visually appealing face. For this reason, we have created a brand as of the start of 2008 which will from now on stand for the high quality of our fully integrated parking and access solutions and services worldwide.


entervo (pronunciation: [en'tərvo], stressed on the 2nd syllable like "flamingo"), an artificial word; the English imperative for "going" or "driving in", which shows very clearly the core business and its central functions. At the same time, "enter" demonstrates the association with the identically named computer key. The "v" in the logo is written like a "checkmark" hook, which symbolizes: well-done, correct, true. The "o" in entervo stands both for "optimized" and "optimum" and also for the 1st person singular Latin form like "I enter".

So all in all, entervo means "I go in/drive in."

Figuratively speaking, entervo gives Scheidt & Bachmann access to a distinctive and unmistakable identity. Our high-quality products and services will be identified and associated with the brand entervo all over the world.
Since we want to publicise the brand entervo in all important spheres and in all markets, we have added the claim "beyond barriers" as a statement reflecting our core promise. This statement demonstrates both directly and in the broadest possible sense that Scheidt & Bachmann always goes beyond the limits of what it has already achieved technologically with its products and services in the field of parking and access control. Literally and in the true sense: beyond all barriers and limitations.

"beyond barriers" is thus raised to the status of a central promotional slogan associated directly with the brand entervo within the context of our advertising campaigns and communication measures.
