Scheidt & Bachmann USA Appoints New Management Team to Address Business Growth
In preparation for business growth, Scheidt & Bachmann USA recently announced the appointment of an Executive Vice President to oversee daily operations for its Parking division as well as a new sales management team. The international leader in parking access and revenue control systems named Henk de Bruin as the interim Executive Vice President and promoted Kevin Austin and Tim Rowland to serve as the western and eastern regional sales directors respectively.
De Bruin’s position evolved from an executive decision to dedicate more strategic resources to the U.S. market earlier in the year. De Bruin joins the U.S. team on a temporary basis until a permanent EVP is hired. Current president John MacDonald will continue serving as President of S&B USA overseeing the cross functional departments of all business divisions as well as preparing the company for its impending relocation of its headquarters to Lowell, MA in October.
De Bruin is a seasoned leader in the PARCS and operations sector with over 30 years of experience in parking equipment manufacturing as well as parking facility operations on a national and global scale. De Bruin joined the Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH team at the end of 2015, originally acting as the Director of Strategic Business Development for the global market. Besides specializing in strategic management and business development, de Bruin also has a passion for product development, customer service and marketing.
“There comes a time when every growing company needs to re-evaluate the internal structure in order to accommodate expansion,” comments Martin Kammler, Managing Director of Parking for Scheidt & Bachmann worldwide. “Under Henk’s leadership, I am certain that his long-term vision will not only take our U.S. market where we need to be but also address how we are going to get there in the most efficient and practical manner possible.”
De Bruin adds, “It is an honor to take on the challenge of helping S&B USA through its growing pains especially during a very innovative period for the U.S. parking industry. I am fully aware of the necessary action plan that we must take in order to communicate to our customers that we are not only committed but prepared with resources to address their needs. I look forward to investing my full effort and time in ensuring that we continue to uphold a leadership brand that was established from generations of hard work and faith.”
In addition to Henk’s introduction, Austin and Rowland have also replaced past Vice President of Sales Jeff Sparrow in the sales management position. Austin has been with Scheidt & Bachmann USA for over sixteen years while Rowland has been with the company for almost four years. In their new roles as regional sales directors, Austin and Rowland will divide responsibilities over the sales and account management for the west and east coast respectively. While continuing to manage coastal sales, both will also maintain and oversee existing customer accounts with the support of de Bruin and the rest of the sales and marketing team.
The management restructuring within Scheidt & Bachmann USA comes after the subsidiary celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. Meanwhile, Scheidt & Bachmann as a global company celebrates its 50th year in the parking industry this year with over 6,000 project installations to boast throughout its history. All members of the management team will be present at the upcoming National Parking Association Conference and Expo from September 19th to September 22nd.
